Abstract

As wireless service providers begin to migrate from 2.5 and 3G wireless technologies to 4G systems, the bandwidth required at cell sites greatly increases. At the heart of this transition are initiatives coined Ethernet to the Cell Site. These initiatives are a means to provide increased bandwidth, improved reliability, and survivability to the 4G wireless networks.
