Experimental GMPLS Routing for Dynamic Provisioning in Translucent Wavelength Switched Optical Networks

Abstract

A novel OSNR-based IRWA algorithm and the required GMPLS extensions for dynamic provisioning in translucent WSON are presented. Experimental evaluation and validation in the ADRENALINE test-bed shows an important blocking reduction compared to transparent networks.
