Dynamic Routing and Spectrum Assignment in Flexible Optical Path Networks

Abstract

We propose dynamic routing and spectrum assignment algorithms for bitrate-flexible lightpaths in OFDM-based optical networks. The novel algorithms enable dynamic spectrum assignment with more efficient resource utilization and less traffic blockings.
