Study of Fiber Nonlinearity Impact on the System Capacity of Two-Mode Fibers

Abstract

We present analysis of the system capacity for two-mode fiber and measurement of its fiber nonlinear coefficients. Despite strong spatial overlapping of three modes, the overall capacity approaches 3 times of that of single-mode fiber.
