Abstract

We investigate possible evolutions of an optical backbone over TrueWave-RS. Maximum inter-capital capacity is obtained with fixed-grid 50-GHz spaced DP-QPSK 100G wavelengths when the interplay between spectral efficiency and XPM is considered.
