Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate optical sub-QPSK symbol information extraction from a 16-QAM signal using optical phase erasure in HNLF. Partial symbol information of one QPSK channel in a 10-Gbaud/s 16-QAM signal is extracted successfully based on four wave mixing.
