Low Complexity and High Capacity Transmission in the 1310 nm Transmission Window

Abstract

8×40 Gbit/s transmission over 38 km of SSMF at 1310 nm is successfully demonstrated. The results unequivocally indicate that the 1310 nm transmission window can support the cost-effective and high capacity connections over short/medium distances.
