Tunable Laser for 40GPON ONU Transmitter

Three-section tunable laser operating at 2.5Gb/s is shown to be a good candidate for the ONU transmitter in a hybrid 40G G-PON system. Successful transmission over 40kM links is experimentally confirmed, with tunability over four channels.
