An Experimental Study of Nonlinear Effects on 43 Gb/s Electronic Pre-equalized Transmission

Abstract

We have studied the impact of nonlinear effects on 43 Gb/s electronically pre-equalized DQPSK signals. A nonlinear power threshold around 1 dB higher than for conventional DQPSK signals with optical dispersion compensation was confirmed.
