Suppression of Chaos in Integrated Coupled DFB Lasers for Millimeter-wave Generation

Abstract

A novel approach for millimeter-wave generation is proposed and demonstrated by suppressing modulation induced chaos in an integrated coupled DFB laser. Millimeter-wave carrier with high spectral purity is generated at ten times the modulation frequency.
