Looking for Polarization Catastrophies in Quasi-Isotropic Lasers

Abstract

Quasi-isotropic lasers with anisotropic feedback display a rich variety of polarization behaviour. In this article we present calculations that predict sudden discontinuities (catastrophies) in the width of the polarization hysteresis loop.
