Abstract

It has been revealed that As2S3-based chalcogenide glass fiber has large nonlinearity and long interaction length. We previously demonstrated optical Kerr shutter operation using As2S3-based glass fiber with a gate power of 3 W.1) In this paper, we present two experimental approaches to reducing switching power.
