Abstract

Several guided-wave devices based on quadratic cascading [1-2] have been proposed,[3-8] and a few of them recently demonstrated in Lithium Niobate (LN).[9-10] In this Communication, we numerically investigate the nonlinear (NL) response of a waveguide, where the two dominant modes at 1.55μm spatially interfere at the output due to the cascading process via SHG.
