Abstract

In recent times the discussion of envelope solitons, or spatial solitons has been addressing the use of second-order nonlinearity, [1-4] so it is appropriate to consider a substantial range of applications. The influence of an interface between two χ(2) materials, close enough to each other to create a controllable perturbation, remains to be solved. This is, therefore, an interesting fundamental, theoretical, problem in its own right. This problem is very important and will lead to a number of new and exciting applications.
