Dynamics of sculpturing picosecond optical solitons in periodically multilayered semiconductor laser structures

Abstract

Analysis of sculpturing the soliton trains by traveling-wave single-mode structures, multilayered in a direction of passing, is developed. Two mechanisms, answering for reaching steady states in soliton amplitude, width, frequency chirp, and shape, are revealed.
