Dynamics of two-dimensional incoherent beams resting on a broad intensity background

Abstract

The nonlinear dynamics of both dark and anti-dark two-dimensional soliton-like beams are studied numerically. We find that the size and contrast of the focused beams depend strongly on their coherence properties and on the nonlinear contribution to the refractive index.
