Transient dark photovoltaic spatial solitons in slab LiNbO3 waveguides.

Abstract

We have observed dark photovoltaic spatial soliton propagation in lithium niobate planar waveguides. The influence of iron doping, light intensity and excited mode distribution is studied. The guiding properties of soliton-induced waveguides have been evaluated.
