Abstract

We numerically demonstrate stabilization of dispersion-managed soliton transmission over standard fibre at 40 Gbit/s by in-line nonlinear optical loop mirrors (NOLMs). We show that in-line NOLMs make possible all-optical passive regeneration and distance-unlimited transmission of the data stream.
