Generation and interaction of parabolic pulses in high gain fiber amplifiers

Abstract

Parabolic pulses are generated from ultrashort pulse amplification in a high gain normal dispersion fiber amplifier. The pulses are robust against interactions and collisions under conditions typical of high capacity communications systems.
