Parametric wavelength conversion and amplification using periodically poled Zn:LiNbO3 waveguide

Abstract

We report wavelength conversion using a periodically poled Zn:LiNbO3 waveguide. Reduced photorefractive damage enabled lower temperature operation. We demonstrated wavelength conversion with a 12 dB parametric gain by using a picosecond pump pulse.
