Slow Light, Fast light, and Optical Solitons in Structured Optical Waveguides

Abstract

We describe the exotic optical properties of a device consisting of a sequence of optical microresonators coupled to an optical waveguide. This device can display slow or fast group voelocities of propagation, large tailored dispersion, and the propagation of optical solitons.
