Stability criterion for solitons in passively mode-locked fiber lasers

Abstract

The complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE) has a multiplicity of soliton solutions for the same set of equation parameters. Based on their analysis, we propose a conjecture for a stability criterion for solitons in dissipative systems.
