Fourier-space imaging in nonlinear photonic lattices

Abstract

We introduce a novel experimental technique: imaging the Fourier power spectra of beams propagating in nonlinear photonic lattices. We present several applications of this technique, including Brillouin zone spectroscopy and the evolution of the spectra of self-focused beams propagating in nonlinear periodic structures.
