Nonlinear Waveguide Arrays by Femtosecond Laser Writing in Fused Silica

Abstract

We report on the progress of optical waveguide arrays in fused silica produced by femtosecond laser writing with increased efficiency. We demonstrate discrete soliton formation in one-dimensional arrays and discrete diffraction in two-dimensional hexagonal lattices.
