All-optical analog-to-digital conversion based on 2nd-order soliton splitting in fiber

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel polarization-independent all-optical analog-to-digital conversion scheme, which is realized by filtering the spectrum of the 2nd-order soliton. We experimentally demonstrate the proposed 2-bit all-optical ADC.
