Power-dependent walk-off in modulationally unstable nematic liquid crystals

Abstract

We experimentally investigate nonlinear walk-off in nematic liquid crystals. In such anisotropic and nonlocal medium, transverse modulational instability results into powercontrolled angular steering of a filament pattern.
