All-Optical Switching in a Dual Core Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical switching at 1550nm in a photonic crystal fiber consisting of two weakly coupled cores. At high powers, the output was dominated by continuum generation primarily towards shorter wavelengths.
