Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate that the group velocity of ultrashort pulses can be controlled through χ(2)-cascaded interactions. This is achieved by propagating 35fs pulses around 1400nm in a 25-mm-long periodically poled stoichiometric lithium tantalate crystal.
