Abstract

Recent experiments [1] and theoretical [2] research concerning nonlinear effects in planar microresonators has covered mainly all optical switching of single pixels under normal incidence, including transverse effects. Here we study a nonlinear Fabry-Perot under oblique incidence and investigate the suitability of spatial (bright) solitary waves, emerging in the transmitted field, as basic units of self trapping and binary processing.
