Generation of quasi-continuous trains of dark soliton-like pulses.

Abstract

We present some results from a numerical integration of the Non-linear Schrodinger Equation for the copropagation of two high power bright pulses in optical fibres. These results show the possibility of generating a high repetition rate quasi-continuous train of stable dark soliton like pulses with parameters experimentally realisable using modelocked Ti:Sapphire lasers.
