Oscillations and Stability of Solitons due to Cascading of Optical Rectification and the Electro-Optic Effect

Abstract

The stability of bright solitons due to cascading of optical rectification and the electro-optic effect in a quadratic nonlinear medium is investigated. A linear stability analysis explains the observed oscillation and radiation of perturbed solitons.
