Generation of coherent phonon oscillations in PbI2 thin films

Abstract

We performed pump-probe transient absorption measurements around the exciton resonance in PbI2 thin films. Coherent phonon oscillations corresponding to A1 lattice mode were clearly observed at the excitation below the exciton resonance.
