Abstract

We observed appreciable decrease of third harmonic generation in disperse red 1 doped PMMA thin film exposed to frequency doubled and fundamental radiation of Nd:YAG laser. This effect is attributed to reversible change of third order susceptibility due to trans-to-cis isomerization.
