Abstract

Multi-photon resonances have garnered much interest in the nonlinear optics community. They range from two-photon Raman processes to frequency conversion to various types of four-wave-mixing processes. Some of them are used as a radiation source as in lasing-without-invorsion (LWI) [1] and squeezed-light generation [2] or as a measurement technique as in oloctromagnotically-inducod-transparoncy (EIT) [3]. Phase conjugation [4] and cross-phasc-modulation [5] are among other related phenomena.
