Abstract

We have developed an experimentally ultrasimple, few-element FROG device for measuring ~1-ps pulses at ~1.5-micron wavelengths. The key to this device is a highly dispersive nonlinear crystal, specifically, the all-but-forgotten crystal Proustite.
