Threshold behavior of an idler-optimized mid-IR OPO with nano-second pump pulses

Abstract

A mid-IR OPO is developed by optimizing the cavity to extract the idler radiation. Threshold and slope efficiency with respect to the input pulse duration are characterized for both critical and non-critical phase matching.
