On the Uniqueness of Hollow-Core Photonic Band-Gap Fiber

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The optical properties of hollow-core photonic band-gap fibers can differ from those of conventional optical fibers by many orders of magnitude. We review these optical properties and discuss their impact on applications.
