Attosecond x-ray photonics: all-optical quasi-phase matching for high harmonic generation

Abstract

We use counterpropagating pulse trains to selectively enhance high order harmonic generation from 70eV to 145eV using all optical quasi phase matching. Enhancement factors up to ×400 are obtained.
