Phase Matching of High Harmonic Generation in the Soft and Hard X-ray Regions of the Spectrum

Abstract

We demonstrate through theory and experiment that scaling of perfect phase matching in high harmonic generation is surprisingly favorable as the wavelength of the driving laser is increased, enabling ultrafast, fully coherent, multi-keV x-ray sources.
