Compact Laser Technology for Monoenergetic Gamma-ray Compton Sources

Abstract

We describe a novel laser system used in a Compton-scattering based monoenergetic gamma-ray source, commissioned at LLNL. The system consists of a UV laser for electron production and a high power CPA based scattering laser.
