Dynamics and stability of mode-locking using phase-sensitive amplification

Abstract

It is demonstrated that phase-sensitive amplification in a laser cavity can be used to generate stable and robust mode-locked pulses. An average cavity model explicitly calculates the stability of the mode-locked pulses.
