Abstract

The nitrogen-vacancy (NV) color center in diamond shows great promise as an optically addressable solid-state qubit amenable to many quantum-optics applications. Using the NV center, we have demonstrated spin-photon entanglement and manipulation of nuclear spins through coherent population trapping.
