Magnetic-dipolar Contributions to the Nonlinear Optical Properties of Plasmonic Nanoparticle Assemblies

Abstract

The relative electric- and magnetic-dipolar contributions to plasmon-mediated nonlinear optical signals of colloidal metal nanoparticle assemblies were quantified using single-particle, polarization-resolved second harmonic generation microscopy. Chiral nanoparticle surface fields were identified.
