Widely Wavelength-Tunable Ultra-Flat Frequency Comb Generation from a Harmonically Mode-Locked Laser Using a Bismuth-Based Highly Nonlinear Erbium-Doped Fiber

Abstract

We generate frequency combs from a bismuth-based harmonically mode-locked fiber laser. The center wavelength of the output can be tuned from 1540nm to 1620nm. A 10GHz-spaced comb with a 3dB bandwidth of 210GHz is obtained.
