Abstract

We investigate the cascading scheme of Tm2O3-doped silica and highly GeO2-doped silica fibers for ultra-flat midinfrared supercontinuum generation. For optimum length of both fibers, an outstanding 4dB bandwidth from ~1.9pm to ~3pm can be obtained.
