Observation of strong local inhomogeneity of the optical nonlinearities on polycrystalline zincblende semiconductors

Abstract

We observed that polycrystalline zincblende semiconductors such as ZnSe present strong inhomogeneity on their local nonlinearity. This inhomogeneity is related to the presence of grains and their random crystallographic orientation relatively to laser polarization.
