Direct Optical Modulation of Photonic Crystal Fano Laser via the Mirror

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate that a semiconductor Fano laser can be modulated via the reflectivity of its mirror. This scheme opens a path for high-speed and low-energy modulation of microlasers.
