Electrically Poled Vapor Deposited Organic Glasses for Integrated Electro-optics

Abstract

Vapor-deposited, monolithic small molecule assemblies deliver a strong, permanent electro- optic response after being electrically poled above the glass transition temperature. They are ideally suited for hybrid electro-optic modulators in integrated silicon photonics.
