Nonlinear binding of multiple interacting optical pulses with signed analogous masses

Abstract

We report the first experimental realization of nonlinear binding of multiple interacting optical pulses with signed analogous masses. Soliton repulsion is balanced judiciously via the attraction exerted by dispersive waves in fiber-optic transmission.
