Abstract

We demonstrate efficient optical parametric amplification in thin-film-lithium-niobate nanowaveguides dispersion-engineered to temporally trap the generated signal and idler. We observe parametric gains >30 dB/pJ, enabling down-conversion of sub-10-pJ pump pulses to coherent 1.35-pJ idler pulses with a 140-nm-wide spectrum centered around 3200 nm.
